We are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the Bold Futures NM 2026 Scholarship Program!
This program offers transformative leadership and advocacy opportunities rooted in community, culture, and reproductive justice. It is designed to empower new generations of changemakers by providing hands-on training in:
Organizing
Skill Building
Professional Development
Policy and advocacy
Collective care and healing practices
Through immersive workshops, real-world advocacy projects, and trusted community spaces, participants will gain the skills, confidence, and support networks needed to build futures where everyone has the power to decide if, when, and how to parent in safe and supportive conditions.
Eligibilty
Must be 15 years or older at the time of application
Must be a New Mexico resident or work/serve in New Mexico
Must submit a W9 form
What the scholarship offers
Financial support
Financial support for one scholarship year to help cover costs related to your professional goals, including travel expenses for events, training, and other opportunities that expand your growth and impact.
Mentorship
Personalized mentorship from respected community leaders and subject-matter experts who can provide guidance, share insights from their experiences, and help you navigate challenges in your professional or advocacy journey.
Networking opportunities
Meet with peers and professionals across diverse fields, fostering collaboration, connections, and lasting relationships that can open doors to career and community projects.
Access to Community Projects
Active participation in community projects and events where you can apply your skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute directly to initiatives that support and uplift local communities.
Skill-building workshops
Workshops focused on advocacy, business, and leadership development, equipping you with practical tools, strategies, and confidence to lead effectively and create meaningful change.
Professional development
Includes resources such as financial literacy training, access to conferences, and structured guidance on entrepreneurship, designed to strengthen your long-term sustainability, adaptability, and impact in your chosen field.
what to expect
Most meetings and programming will typically be held on select days, Monday through Thursday, between 6:00 and 7:30 PM. Special events or incentive tracks may be scheduled outside of these hours.

touchstone groups
If selected, you will join one or more of our Touchstone Groups, where you’ll gain mentorship, peer support, and opportunities to put your learning into practice.
A safe, intergenerational space for Black leaders to build community, share stories, and heal. Born out of the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic and racial uprisings, this space centers Black voices—especially those in rural New Mexico.
A workgroup dedicated to reforming child welfare systems through lived experiences, collective messaging, and real solutions rooted in reproductive justice.
A reproductive justice group for Indigenous doulas, mothers, and daughters, centering Diné healing concepts to transform birth and reproductive care in their communities.
A group for leaders ages 15–24, focused on reproductive justice through conversations, community building, and advocacy skill development.
CHARLAS is an intergenerational project that gives voice and visibility to intimate experiences related to the sexual and reproductive health of Spanish-speaking people and their families. The acronym CHARLAS stands for: Honest Conversations About Respect, Liberation and Acceptance regarding Reproductive Health. The group addresses themes like youth sexuality, access to contraception, abortion, pregnancy and birth, and menopause.
A community leadership group that supports healing, joy, and belonging for BIPOC queer and trans leaders by creating chosen-family spaces and sustained peer support.
